LATINXPERIENCE Book Group

The closest Latinxs ever get to learning about their history is when it’s offered as an elective in college. While school curriculums continue to leave Latinx history in the back of textbooks, the LATINXPERIENCE Book Group is putting fiction and nonfiction texts by and about Latinxs at the forefront of each meeting.

Join our Café Manager, Shevanee Cesar, the last Sunday of every month at 6 PM to discuss a range of texts covering the LATINXPERIENCE both here and back home. The books in discussion will be available in English and Spanish when applicable.

NOTE: There may be a lot of natural code-switching in vernacular amongst attendees at every discussion. It’s going to be fun, emotional, and educational—reminiscent of family-time at abuelas house (minus all the food).

Book group selections are 10 percent off at WORD the month before discussion.
