About the Role
As a bookseller, you will work closely with the Directors, and WORD staff to ensure that all facets of WORD activity are held to the standards set by WORD management. Duties will include, but are not limited to: ensuring customer service, store cleanliness/organization, merchandising, web orders, receiving, returns, shelving, opening and closing the store.
Additional involvement with WORD's other activities (e.g. book clubs, staff picks, etc.) is encouraged and anticipated. You will be asked to work events in-store, and off-site.
The position is part-time and initially pays between $16-$20 an hour commensurate with experience. Shifts will include evenings and at least one weekend day. Applicants without availability on at least one weekend day will not be considered. Schedule flexibility is a bonus. You will typically average 16-21 hours a week.
