WORD Presents Ted Scheinman for CAMP AUSTEN

    03/15/2018 - 7:00pm

It is a truth universally acknowledged that delving into the world of Jane Austen fandom results in conversion. Thus, WORD is delighted to bring Ted Scheinman and Michelle Legro to our Brooklyn store to discuss Camp Austen and Ted's jouney into the realm of Austen superfandom and a witty, heartfelt look at Austen's life and afterlife as a belated literary hero. Jason Diamond, author of Searching for John Hughes, says "Camp Austen explores how deeply meaningful and personal the oeuvre of an author can be, and how it stitches us together. Scheinmanhas delivered a heartfelt and entertaining glimpse into Austen's work and literary fandom that will resonate whether you spend your free time wearing Regency-era clothes and rereading Sense and Sensibility or not.” A book for Austen fans, pop culture afficiandos, or those who just want to know what the fuss is about, Ted and Michelle's conversation about Camp Austen is sure to be a magnificent ball, er, literary reading, for all.
