Ranbir Singh Sidhu and Lynne Tillman will read from their latest works in celebration of Sidhu’s debut short story collection, Good Indian Girls, followed by a conversation, Q&A, and signing. Sidhu is a Puschart Prize-winning writer whose work has appeared in numerous publications including the Alaska Quarterly Review and The Missouri Review. Tillman is the author of many books, including the story collection Someday This Will Be Funny.
In twelve startling and vividly imagined stories, Ranbir Singh Sidhu overturns the lives of ordinary Indians living in America to bring us a bold debut collection, Good Indian Girls.
The stories in Some Day This Will Be Funny marry memory to moment in a union of narrative form as immaculate and imperfect as the characters damned to act them out on page. Lynne Tillman, author of American Genius, presides over the ceremony; Clarence Thomas, Marvin Gaye, and Madame Realism mingle at the reception.
