JC: Loren Kleinman, Claudia Serea, and Lauren Schmidt

In honor of National Poetry Month, three local poets present recent work. Pushcart Prize nominee Loren Kleinman (Breakable Things) runs an author interview series on Huffington Post Books and is a faculty member at New York Writers Workshop. Her fellow Pushcart nominee, Romanian-born poet Claudia Serea (A Dirt Road Hangs from the Sky), belongs to the poetry group The Red Wheelbarrow Poets and is one of the curators of the Williams Poetry Readings at the Williams Center in Rutherford, New Jersey. Lauren Schmidt (The Voodoo Doll Parade) is an Instructor of Developmental English at Passaic County Community College where she founded RAW, a social justice-oriented poetry club.
