This event will take place at our Jersey City location.New York Times veteran Amy Rowland presents her debut novel The Transcriptionist, which follows one woman’s quest to identify a Jane Doe. As it asks probing questions about journalism and ethics, about the decline of the newspaper and the failure of language, The Transcriptionist is also the story of a woman’s effort to establish a place for herself in an increasingly alien and alienating world.Rowland will be in conversation with Meredith Lippman, of the Hudson County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs.
