A night of readings from proud small-press authors Rebbecca Brown (They Become Her), Robert Lopez (Part of the World), Alexandra Chasin (Brief), and Paula Bomer (Inside Madeleine).
Fiction. Rebbecca Brown's debut novel, THEY BECOME HER, received Honorable Mention in the 2009-2010 Starcherone Innovative Fiction contest. It tells the story of Delia Bacon, the first to propose that Shakespeare did not write his own works and whose own literary ambition inspired a life filled with fame and scandal.
Alexandra Chasin’s remarkable stories employ forms as diverse as cryptograms (in "ELENA=AGAIN") and sentence diagrams (in "Toward a Grammar of Guilt") to display her interest in fiction as al form constituted by print on the page, every bit as much as poetry.
