WORD BK Presents: David Sedaris

06/04/2019 - 7:00pm

THE READING PORTION OF THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR INFO ON HOW TO RESERVE A SPOT IN THE SIGNING LINE.

WORD's bookstore dreams have finally come true: David Sedaris is coming to Greenpoint! Following a 7 PM reading in our cozy basement, he'll be signing books in our kids' room for as long as it takes for him to meet his fans. We'll be celebrating the paperback release of Calypso, but don't worry—we'll have plenty of his classics on hand, too.

IMPORTANT TICKETING INFORMATION

The reading portion of this event is ticketed. The reading will begin at 7 PM and the doors to our basement events space will open at 6:30 PM. As you know if you've attended one of our events, space in our basement is extremely limited, so if you do not have a ticket, you will not be able to come downstairs for the reading. Seating is first come, first served. We are expecting a standing-room only crowd. If you need a seat for health reasons, please email events@wordbookstores.com for accommodation.

Following the reading, David will sign books for everyone, including people who were unable to attend the reading. Purchase is not required to enter the signing line, but customers who preorder the paperback edition of Calypso below will be given priority in the line. Books will be available for pickup all day on 6/4. When you pick up your book, you will receive a wristband for the signing line.
