This event takes place at Saint Vitus Bar.
WORD Bookstores and Saint Vitus are teaming up once again! On December 6th, actor, musician, and brand new author Sebastian Bach will be at the Greenpoint metal venue staple to read from and discuss his new book, 18 AND LIFE ON SKID ROW. Sebastian will be joined in conversation by music writer and The Creative Independent/Kickstarter Editor in Chief Brandon Stosuy.
Sebastian Bach is the epitome of a front man. Loud, boisterous, self-destructive, and creatively awash, he was the glam-haired and electrifying singer of Skid Row, which took the world by storm with their platinum-selling songs "18 and Life," "Youth Gone Wild," and "I Remember You," and were strongly instrumental in uniting the vestiges of glam metal with the onslaught of 90s grunge.
In his uncensored, unfiltered memoir, Bach dishes on everything Skid Row: the parties, drugs, and international tours with Motley Crue, Aerosmith, KISS, and Guns N Roses, as well as the creative juices that carried him through Skid Row s heyday and kept him successful after they broke up. With typical Sebastian-esque scream and bravado, 18 AND LIFE ON SKID ROW tells the story of how a choir boy became a mega-successful hair metal god, rode the wave of fame in heavy metal's heyday, and came out alive on the other side when glam rock went the way of the cassette tape and the Walkman.
