WORD Presents THINKING IN FULL COLOR for International Women's Day

    03/08/2018 - 7:30pm

Thinking In Full Color, a Jersey City-based theater company focused on sharing stories by women of color, is back at WORD Jersey City for International Women's Day!

TIFC is excited to return to their favorite local bookstore which has been carrying the In Full Color Anthology since 2016.

We'll be featuring women from multiple seasons of our hit show In Full Color, reading pieces from the In Full Color Anthology as well as sharing new works. We will also be discussing female authorship, social issues, literature and more.

The In Full Color Anthology as well as new works by program founder and director Summer Dawn Reyes will be available for purchase. Reyes's new works include a short story collection called "boys i haven't loved yet" and a powerful new poetry chapbook called "how to destroy the patriarchy in seven days." All proceeds go toward TIFC's mainstage show and college outreach program.

Our lineup includes women writers of diverse backgrounds including Nancy Mendez-Booth, Dena Amaro (Igusti), Venida Rodman Jenkins, wendelin de regalo and WORD's own Eileen Ramos! Summer Reyes hosts. The women will be sharing new works as well as reading from the IFC Anthology. Discussion will follow.
