    About the Author


    Chad Polenz was born in Schenectady in 1976. He earned his associate's degree in Journalism from SUNY Morrisville in 1997 and then worked as a local reporter until early 2001 when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where served six and a half years active duty, most of it stationed on the USS Wasp (LHD-1) based out of Norfolk, Virginia. He then earned his Bachelor's degree from University of Albany. He is a professional network administrator. Chad is best known for his very popular beer website www.chadzbeerreviews.com and his column with the Albany Times-Union. He is an avid home brewer, and a popular speaker. He has visited dozens of breweries all over the world.
